The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says a nine year old boy accidently shot his two year old brother. Deputies responded to the call in the Alleghany section of the county around 7:30 last night. Upon arrival, they found the two year old boy with a single gunshot wound to the back. He was taken to Montgomery Regional Hospital and died a short time later. Authorities have not released the names of the family or the victim.

Elmer Crigger, and his sons Daniel and Donald, are charged with abuse and neglect of an incapicated adult, 65 year Esther Crigger. Police say her respirator was unplugged, her diaper was not changed, and family dogs had partially eaten her left arm to the bone when her body was found in early July. A judge today ordered mental competency exams for all three Criggers before the case proceeds any further.

Election board secretary Jean Jensen says the board was only able to verify a little over 73 hundred signatures.

The pilot says rough weather may be to blame for causing issues with his landing gear.
He says the front landing gear wouldn't deploy fully.
That's when he decided to put the plane down on its belly.
The second landing attempt was a success and no one was injured.

Hurricane Frances postponed last night's Florida State and Miami game -- and it hit closer to home for Seminoles' coach Bobby Bowden.

One of Bowden's grandsons and his former son-in-law were killed Sunday in Florida, when a utility truck restoring power after Hurricane Frances hit their car. The two were killed instantly in the crash that occurred on Interstate 10 in Quincy, Florida.
