The National Park Service has closed the Otter Creek campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway as a precaution.
The campground is separated from the Parkway by a creek. If it floods, campers could be stranded.
The rest of the Parkway is open, but officials caution that additional closures may be necessary.

Three students involved in a drug incident at a Botetourt County middle school last spring have learned their punishment. Three of the teens must perform 100-hours of community service and were put on probation. The fourth has reportedly used drugs since the incident in May and was placed back in custody in detention.
