South Korean officials say they don't think a huge explosion in North Korea last week was the result of a nuclear test. Thursday's explosion sent smoke high into the air and left a crater that could be seen by satellites. South Korea's Yon-hap news agency reports the blast Thursday in the northern part of North Korea sent a huge column of smoke into the air on the anniversary of the 1948 foundation of the communist regime. The report says although North Korea is believed to be developing nuclear weapons, international experts would likely have been able to detect the test if one had occurred.
