A drowning in the New River this afternoon. According to Longshop/McCoy's fire chief a 29 year man

rescued a woman who fell in the New River and then drowned himself. Rescuers say he went into the river around the McCoy Falls area in Giles county. His body was recovered about a mile and a half down river near the Eggleston Bridge. A friend at the scene said, he almost had him, but the victim was swept away. His body was taken to Giles County Hospital. The victim's named won't be released until his family is notified.

Prosecutors who are using global tracking technology in the Scott Peterson case were handed a setback.

An expert testifying at the murder trial said the device tracking Peterson's car showed at one time he was traveling 30 thousand miles per hour.
Prosecutors called it a glitch, but that could put some doubt in jurors' minds about the technology's reliabilty.
The judge presiding over the trial ruled last winter that tracking technology would be allowed over defense objections.

Just a few days ago, a man dressed as Spiderman scaled the 400 foot high London Eye ferris wheel.
Four months ago they hurled condoms filled with purple flour at Prime Minister Tony Blair.
They're demonstrating for more rights for fathers to see their children in cases of divorce or separation.
