Vick's life changed drastically last winter after a party he and two teammates, running back Mike Imoh and wide receiver Brenden Hill had with 14 and 15 year old girls at his apartment. Under a plea agreement he was sentenced to 30 days in jail... all of it suspended. He will also perform 24 hours of community service and pay a 100 dollar fine.

A man trying to save a life, lost his own in the New River this afternoon.

According to Longshop/McCoy's fire chief a 29 year old man was trying to rescue a woman who fell in the New River and then drowned himself. Rescuers say the female had fallen off the rocks around the McCoy Falls area in Giles county. Witnesses say the victim appeared to have a problem and was swept away. His body was recovered about a mile and a half down the river near the Eggleston Bridge and was taken to Giles County Hospital. His named won't be released until his family is notified.

An assault and battery charge against a Roanoke landlord was dropped today, when the woman who swore out the warrant against him failed to show up in court.

Bill White is the landlord who operates the extreme website Overthrow- dot- com.
Erica Hardwick Hoesch (HOEshhh) is a former neo-nazi who passed out fliers with White's picture and the headline, "Meet Your Local Racist."
White was convicted of assault and battery following a confrontation in July, and Hardwick- Hoesch was convicted of trespassing on one of White's properties.

Both defendants appealed their convictions to circuit court, but Hardwick Hoesch did not appear in court today.


The judge dropped the charge against White for lack of a witness, and convicted Hardwick Hoesch in her absence. She was fined 25 dollars plus court costs.

Authorities have now determined the cause of death of a man murdered in Franklin County.

An autopsy report shows 32-year-old Ronald Christopher Bonds died of blunt force trauma to the head. Bonds was found dead Saturday inside his mobile home at the Chestnut Trailer Park Court on English Road. Authorities say a friend went to check on Bonds after no one heard from him. Investigators are now interviewing people who knew Bonds. So far, they have NOT named any suspects.
