The blast went off near a police station, as dozens of people were applying for jobs there.

Officials said both letters were in standard, white business envelopes, and had a return address from Nevada's maximum-security Ely State Prison. At least three of the letters opened last week caught fire, but no one has been injured.

An autopsy report shows 32-year-old Ronald Christopher Bonds died of blunt force trauma to the head. Bonds was found dead Saturday inside his mobile home at the Chestnut Trailer Park Court on English Road. Investigators are now interviewing people who knew Bonds. ((Oil and Airline stocks could be on Wall Street's radar once again when the markets open Tuesday. The Dow ended off its lows in Monday's session, as investors sold off on oil worries and a bankruptcy filing from U-S Airways. The Nasdaq showed some resilience, adding 16 points.
Investors will react to Cisco's latest acquisition. After Monday's close, the networking giant announced it has (CSCO) agreed to buy DynamicSoft, for 55-million dollars. The company makes Internet data and voice software. Cisco says the deal will strengthen its position, in the broadband communications market.
Shares of US Airways skidded down 30-percent, after the 7th largest airline in the U.S., has announced it has it has filed for bankruptcy. The carrier says it will continue normal operations.
And shoppers nationwide will be seeing more of the Macy's name. Macy's parent company, Federated Department Stores (FD), says it plans to change the names of all of its regional department stores, to the Macy's nameplate. The change will take effect in January 2005.

The 20 year old pleaded no contest yesterday in Montgomery County Circuit Court to one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The charges stem from a party Vick and two teammates, Brenden Hill and Mike Imoh, had with 14 and 15 year old girls at Vick's apartment last winter. Vick was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but the jail time was suspended. He was also ordered to perform 24-hours of community service, fined 100 dollars and can not have any contact with the teenage girls. The University has already suspended Vick for the season, but Vick's lawyer believes he'll return to school.

A man trying to save a life, lost his own in the New River yesterday afternoon.

According to Longshop-McCoy's fire chief, a 29 year old man was trying to rescue a woman who fell in the New River and then drowned himself. Rescuers say the female had fallen off the rocks around the McCoy Falls area in Giles County. Witnesses say the victim appeared to have a problem and was swept away. His body was recovered about a mile and a half down the river near the Eggleston Bridge and was taken to Giles County Hospital. His named won't be released until his family is notified.
