Police received a report a man was chasing a woman with a gun at the Stop-In Service Station on the corner of Route 18 and Madison. According to reports, the man- identified as 65-year-old Hubert Dressler, Sr.- chased his 58-year-old wife, Donna- from the gas station, across the street, in front of these homes.

We went back yesterday as a matter of fact and our house is pretty damaged by a bunch of pine trees. The two *Iraqi Airways* flights were the first international flights since 19-90 -- when sanctions were imposed on Saddam Hussein's regime. *Iraqi Airways* will fly once daily to Jordan and Syria. Insurgents have been taking aim at flights over Baghdad International with rocket fire. To avoid being hit -- ALL commercial flights are being forced to make sharp maneuvers while staying within a secure perimeter over the airport. The skies overhead aren't the only worry for the Iraqi Airliner. The road leading to the airport has been known for acts of terror-- including a car bomb set off yesterday --that injured three U.S. soldiers.

The first runner-up was Miss Louisiana, Jennifer Dupont.

The *Campbell Avenue* house provides daytime shelter for the homeless, provides financial aid to needy families and job counseling services to more than 400- people each year. Today the shelter was renamed for Bishop Walter F. Sullivan for his support over the past 20 plus years. When renovations began in 2001, board members estimated the cost at 750- thousand dollars.

Bill Stinnett is a mechanical engineer with the Ford Company in Dearborn, Michigan. The Vinton native drove a Ford G-T prototype into town yesterday for Tech's *Engineering Expo* later this week. He says the university has become a breeding ground for automotive engineers.
