(( More than five years worth of fundraising is being boiled down to about ten days worth of testimony in Charlottesville's federal court ... as a jury tries to decide whether Richard Burrow went too far trying to raise money to build the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford.
Burrow faces a total of ten fraud charges ... prosecutors claim he got bank loans and state grants using non-existent or shaky donor pledges as collateral.
But defense attorneys say, with 11-hundred World War Two veterans dying every day, Burrow was under tremendous pressure to get the 25-million dollar monument built before its dedication on June 6th, 2001.
They also say Burrow believed all of his actions were legal, and that his motives were pure. ))
