Forecasters say they expect Hurricane Jeanne to weaken even more as it makes its way across Florida. The storm's winds are already down about five-miles per hour since making landfall. Forecasters expect it to begin moving more northward and head for Georgia and the Carolinas next. So far, though, only minor injuries are being reported. Magee was Draper's ex- girlfriend and officials say the former couple had a history of domestic problems. When Magee answered the door Draper forced his way inside. Shortly there after deputies surrounded the house. While trying to negotiate with Draper they heard Magee scream and entered to find the woman stabbed multiple times in the chest and shoulder. She was taken to the hospital where she later died. Jose Redd lives up the street and says he never knew Draper to be a violent person.

One man is charged with reckless driving after an accident on Interstate 81 left his brother-in-law dead.

One southbound lane of traffic was shut down after a pick-up truck wrecked near the weigh station in Botetourt County around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. State Police say 75 year old John Oliver Stein (stine) from Roanoke was driving. He suffered a broken collar bone and was taken to Roanoke Memorial. Stein's brother-in-law -- 81 year old William Lewis Holcombe from Arizona -- died in the crash. Stein told police he fell asleep, ran off the road and overcorrected causing the truck to flip. Both men were wearing seat belts. Stein was charged with reckless driving.

Hurricane Jeanne has been downgraded, but is still causing havoc as it slams through Florida. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Jeanne is now a Category Two storm and should continue to weaken as it works its way across the peninsula today. The storm's strong winds and heavy rains are already being blamed for damage in and around Stuart, Florida, where Jeanne made landfall. Officials say parts of roofs have been torn off homes and buildings. So far, though, only minor injuries are being reported. Teri Okita has the latest from Daytona Beach Shores, Florida.

A Henry County community is still reeling after a Martinsville man went on a violent crime spree there Friday.

36-year-old John Gregory Draper is behind bars charged with first degree murder, rape, robbery and abduction. According to Henry County authorities, he knocked on the door of a local home- sexually asaulted a 53-year old woman there, took her 24-year-old daughter and then headed next store to his ex-girlfriend's house. He used the girl to force his way into 38-year-old Glenda Delphine Magee house- where deputies say he stabbed Magee repeatedly. Magee later died. Authorities say the couple had a history of domestic problems.

The 15th annual "Henry Street Heritage Festival" got underway yesterday at Elmwood Park. The smell of food filled the air -- while national acts performed on stage. All proceeds benefit the Harrison Museum of African American Culture. Last year, the event generated nearly 20- thousand dollars and organizers hope to double that amount this year. Back in April, a lack of funds forced museum staff to work as volunteers, but board members say things are now looking up. Once renovations are complete, the museum plans to move into the historic Dumas (Doo-muhs) Hotel on First Street.
