The flood waters have led to one death in Patrick County. Emergency crews say they responded to a call of flooding in the 13-hundred block of Elastic Plant Road, and found a mobile home washed off its foundation. A ground search turned up the body of a woman about 75-yards from the home. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

We saw a National Guard vehicle that was high enough to get out before the waters rose any more. But some people who had no ride chose to walk it out in waters that were almost waist-deep.
