Two terrorists have received a death sentence for orchestrating the 2000 attack on the U-S-S Cole.

Four others were sentenced to prison terms ranging from five to 10 years for the attack that left 17 American sailors dead.

The prosecution may wrap up its case against former National D-Day Foundation President Richard Burrow today.
In testimony yesterday, a former state official said he would not have released more than 4 million dollars for the memorial, had he received an accurate picture of the foundation's finances.

Roanoke County Supervisors have voted unanimously to hire Northrup-Grumman Corporation to build a new public safety building.

Over the weekend , former Winston Cup star Ernie Irvan spoke to Roanoke's Parkway Wesleyan Church. Irvan won 15 races in his career that ended in 1999. A horrific crash in 1994 at Michigan almost killed him. He raced again and is thankful he had the choice to retire or keep racing. His friend Rusty Wallace will retire next year.
Irvan is sad for his late, great friend who did not have that choice.
