Police in Lynchburg have charged a woman with murder.

42- year old Linda Bailey Buffaloe is accused of fatally stabbing a man last night.
Officers answered a call to 613 Wilton Avenue where there'd been reports of a malicious wounding.
When they got there, they found 52 year old Gregory Lee Campbell with a knife wound.
He was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital where he died a short time later.

New charges have been filed against the father of a four-year old boy who accidentally shot and killed himself in Roanoke a month ago.
Isaiah Wiley was indicted today for involuntary manslaughter and felony child neglect.
He was initially charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The 23-year old was released on bond after spending Labor Day weekend in jail.
September 3rd Wiley' son, Asadi, had found a gun in his father's Cadillac, picked it up and pulled the trigger.
Since then Isaiah Wiley was arrested again for possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He's being held without bond on that charge.

A Danville man was indicted today on murder charges.

A Franklin County grand jury indicted 32-year-old Stanley Dion Tate today on first-degree murder and two related weapons charges.
Tate is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend Charmane Davis, who was found shot to death inside his home in May.
Investigators believe Davis caught him with another woman.
Tate is currently being held in Danville on drug convictions.

Authorities found two more meth labs over the weekend in Southwest Virginia, bringing the total number of labs busted in our area to 52.
Police agencies say the Methamphetamine problem is growing faster than they can keep up with it.

Firefighters found the body of the 6-year-old boy inside his home on Rison Street.
Officials say Daquan Barley was unable to escape the intense fire.
His mother, Katherine, and others in the house were able to get out.
Investigators believe the fire started either in the living room or front bedrooms.
But the fire did so much damage that they're having a hard time pinpointing the cause.

Police say a tractor trailer hit a garbage truck around 11:30 and lost part of its load of paint and home improvement supplies.
One northbound lane of 220 in the Red Hill area will be close until about nine o-clock.

Meanwhile a sinkhole is causing trouble at Exit 118 on Interstate 81 in Montgomery County.
Crews are working to fix the sinkhole under one lane of the Southbound collector lane. The work may not be finished until Friday.

Jim Sears drove himself to Lewis Gale Medical Center Saturday afternoon- where doctors are treating him for what's being called a mini-stroke.
The news came as a suprise to co-workers and to Sears who works out regularly.
The 59 year old is undergoing more testing today- and is beginning physical therapy.
Center managers say he is doing well and in good spirits.

The team winner was a surprise, the Blacksburg Bruins took home the top prize with a 297 total. Blacksburg will now advance to the state tourney, along with Salem. The Spartans had to beat William Byrd in a playoff.
The top individual today was Byrd's Josh Chocklett, who fired a two under par 69.
