Police arrest more suspects more than four years after Lisa Nicole Thomas was murdered inside her Martinsville clothing store.
A teenager was first charged with the crime, but was found not guilty last year.

The case took a new twist yesterday when Thomas' husband and another man were arrested and charged with capital murder.

Maverick Demarco Thomas, more commonly known as Maverick Muhammad, led a number of vigils after his wife's murder.
While prosecutors often said the case was a murder for hire, Maverick Muhammad maintained his innocence and was not charged until yesterday.
The other suspect is identified as Malvester Dixon Jr., also known as Malvester Muhammad. Both men face the same charges including conspiracy, murder for hire, and use of a firearm in the commission of a murder for hire.

Authorities have declined further comment.
Thomas is in the Martinsville City Jail. Dixon is in Danville, and both men are being held without bond.

Police in Roanoke are looking for two car jackers. Dispatchers say at about 2:30 -- two men wearing masks and black clothing took a white Chevrolet Impala by gunpoint on 29th Street Northwest. There have been possible sightings since then, but police are still looking.

A vandalizing - joy rider was almost caught at a Roanoke Salvage yard this weekend.

It's already happened more than once in the last month -- and might have happened again, if an intruder hadn't been run off Sunday night. Amid all the wrecked cars up on blocks, Moon Mullins maintains as many as 50 vehicles that still run. Twice now vandals have gotten into the yard and turned the place into a demolition derby.

America's top fishermen will descend on Smith Mountain Lake this weekend for one of the nation's largest fishing tournaments.

A close call for some Roanoke firefighters as they're almost hit by a bullet.

They were watching last night's baseball game on television when a bullet came through the roof.
The bullet landed near a battalion chief and another firefighter inside Station One near the Roanoke City Market.

Officials believe someone fired a shot into the air nearby.
On its way back down it went through the roof and ceiling and landed on the floor.
No one was hurt.

A new Off Track Betting Parlor is off and running there.
The doors opened to the public yesterday with a big showing, more than owners expected.
The more than 14 thousand square foot facility is on Vineyard Road in Vinton.
Some opposed the parlor, but voters ultimately approved it.
The OTB is expected to bring in 35 million dollars a year, 190 thousand of that will go to the town of Vinton.
The parlor allows people to bet on and watch live horse races from tracks around the nation.

The Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority is spending more than 110-thousand dollars to build a two-story home on this vacant lot on Norwood Street.
The home will be made available to a qualified resident from one of the Authority's four public housing complexes.
