Four Roanoke women are in custody after a 30 mile chase that police say topped 110 miles an hour.
Christiansburg Police say it began after the suspects allegedly shoplifted two thousand dollars worth of merchandise from the Sears at the New River Valley Mall.
Six officers from three different agencies pursued the women on 460, I-81 and 581.

[SUPER=03-Roanoke; :27]

The chase ended around 7:40 last night on the exit ramp from 581 south to Peters Creek Road.
State Police deployed stop sticks which flattened two of the tires.
A trooper then attempted to force the vehicle onto the exit ramp but the driver side swiped the cruiser.
The suspect's car then ran off the road and all four women were taken into custody.
State Police point out it was Christiansburg's call but say the chase was justified.
