Traffic on Bent Mountain Road in Roanoke County is expected to be slow this evening.

County police say this tractor trailer was coming down the mountain shortly after noon today. The driver lost control in some curves and the rig flipped over. One lane of traffic has been shut down while crews clean up the wreck, and the road is not expected to fully reopen until at least 8 o'clock tonight. Drivers are encouraged to find another route if possible.

A disaster recovery center is temporarily setting-up shop in Salem to help recent flood victims.

Flood victims are not required to go the center in order to receive aid. But for those who need personal assistance, the center will be available 7 days a week and will be staffed by federal, state and volunteer agencies.

There are no reports of injuries in an explosion at a Walgreens in Illinois.

The store's windows, front door and facade were all blown out. Flames and dark smoke could be seen pouring out of the roof. The store is in Addison, a western suburb of Chicago. The manager says he smelled gas funes just before 12:30. Apparently a construction crew was working behind the Walgreens and broke a gas main that gas leaked into the Walgreens. Approximately 20 people in the store were evacuated. The building exploded soon after.

Some World War Two history flew into central Virginia this afternoon ...

This B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator are part of the Collings Foundation's "Wings of Freedom" tour.
The two aircraft are part of a fleet of 22 historic planes the Foundation owns.
It uses them to educate people about World War Two and honor the veterans who fought in it.
The planes will be on display at the Lynchburg airport through Friday.
