A bus carrying tourists crashed today in South Korea-- killing 15 people.

Emergency officials say the bus swerved off a mountain road in eastern South Korea, and plunged down a 33- foot- cliff.
Some of those killed were trapped in the wreckage.
Authorities say about 18 others were injured, and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Some of the wounded were in serious condition.

The space will allow the hospital to make room for Women and Children's services.
This is all part of Carilion's consolidation plan to bring all of its services under one roof, and turn Roanoke Community Hospital into a healthcare training center.

After years of debate, Danville City Council gave V-DOT the green light to start tearing down the historic Worsham Street bridge.

As a result, the city closed the bridge in July.
Since then, city leaders have studied their options and found it would cost 17 million dollars to build a new one and more than five million dollars to repair it to accommodate some vehicles.
It's money the city doesn't have.

Under a plea deal, Army Reservist Ivan ``Chip'' Frederick admitted to assault and four other counts during his court martial today in Baghdad.

In Fallujah, a family of six was reportedly killed in an American rocket attack.
A neighbor says the couple and their four children had fled the city a week earlier, only to return late last night.

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors has selected a site for an airport. But the board says it first wants to notify the property owners before identifying the site to the public. The county has been working to build a general aviation airport since 2000. Officials say even though it will NOT offer commercial airline service, it will help the economy by serving small engine and corporate planes. Officials say the next step is conducting an environmental study, which could take another year.
