crashed in North Carolina this morning. Emergency workers in Asheville have confirmed that at least two people were killed when the small plane went down shortly after takeoff. The twin-engine aircraft was leaving the Asheville Regional Airport. Emergency officials say it's unclear how many people were aboard.

NASCAR driver Jimmy Spencer was arrested for interfering with police officers as they attempted to serve a warrant on his son.

Police records show that officers went to Spencer's home Sunday night in Cornelius, North Carolina to arrest his 18-year-old son on a misdemeanor charge of injury to personal property. He is accused of pouring paint on two cars. Spencer was charged with two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and resisting a public officer. Spencer finished 29th at Martinsville.
