Authorities say two people are dead after a twin engine plane crashed after take-off today from the Asheville Regional Airport. Emergency officials say there may have been four people aboard the plane, but little else was known about the crash immediately.
Meanwhile just a week after a fatal commuter plane crash in Missouri, there's been another deadly crash there.

Officials say two people were killed when a small plane crashed about a mile away from the airport.
At least three people were on board the twin- engine Cessna, which was en route to Springfield from Oklahoma.
Early reports indicate the plane hit a tree before hitting the ground and breaking in half.
No word yet on what caused the crash.

A car and a truck collided on Interstate 81 this morning, close to the scene of last week's big wreck.
The accident at mile marker 167 past Buchanan has closed one of the southbound lanes, so traffic is starting to back up.
Two people in the car have been taken to the hospital. Authorities do NOT believe their injuries are critical.

He's supposed to protect the law, but now a Sheriff's deputy from Danville is finding himself in trouble with the law.
Danville police arrested 52 year old Dennis Eugene Osborne for allegedly assaulting his fiance-
The charges stem from an argument the two reportedly had in a church parking lot this past August.
That's when the woman claims Osborne assaulted her.
A grand jury issued the indictment against Osborne this week.

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the New York City Subway system.
The first subway train rode up from City Hall to Harlem on October 27th, 19-04.
Various events are planned, including a re-enactment of the first ride with the original train.
29- year- old actress Caroline Sanchez-Bernat was selected as Ms. Subways after a three- month contest.
She received a year of free transportation on New York subways and buses, and will be featured in an ad campaign.
