Democrat Chris Rehak appears to have defeated Republican challenger Patrick Moore by those two votes. The closeness of the race means a recount is a virtual certainty.

A second special election in Radford was also a close one. But the winning challenger has 27 votes of breathing room.

[Take Leader 440] Also in Henry County, Ridgeway area voters are ready for liquor by the drink. They approved a proposal by about 600 votes.
