This summer the town and Botetourt County agreed to a plan which would replace the current lagoon- style treatment system. But, according to Fincastle Planning Commission member Rob Hagan, the cost of the new waste water treatment plant, which was 800-thousand dollars, will double. Hagan says there's concern from the town and the county as to why the cost has increased, and where the additional funding will come from.. A meeting with both parties is scheduled for December.
