A Radford man accused of killing a model says his rights were violated.

Lawyers for 57 year old Photographer Bob Shell filed 20 motions in court yesterday. Shell's accused of felony homicide in connection with the overdose death of 19 year old Marion Franklin. The new motions range from claims of fifth and sixth amendment violations and ask for charges to be dropped. A judge will consider the motions later this month.

Mark Armentrout was also sworn in as the city's first-ever Republican sheriff. He won the seat over Interim Sheriff Terry Alley by just 26 votes.

The project is estimated to cost nine-and a-half million dollars, but school officials say it would pay off for the community.

The old P-Y-A Monarch building is much bigger than the Shenandoah Avenue spot- it's 96-thousand square feet.
The food bank provides food for hundreds of thousands- Most are famlies with children- who've faced layoff, illness or a natural disaster.
The drive is now on to raise more than 3- million dollars to buy the building.

Poplar Forest borrowed three million dollars to buy up the land off Enterprise Drive where developers had been hoping to build a shopping center.
The property adjoins more than 500 existing acres Poplar Forest already owns ... and will eventually be used for a second entrance to the estate.
Officials say they're now asking the public for help in paying off the bank loans.

The curtain will drop for a theatre in Franklin County -- as the owners get ready for an expanded season next year.

The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre says it will be "in the dark" in 2005, because of some major renovation work taking place at Ferrum College. Officials say they are still trying to work out some type of abbreviated season off-campus. In the meantime, they say patrons can look forward to an EXPANDED season in 2006. The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre has been performing on the Ferrum campus for 25-years, with an audience of about 16-thousand a year.

Officials in Virginia say the "No Child Left Behind Act" needs work before it can start helping students in the Commonwealth.
