Henry County authorities say they believe they have found the remains of a woman missing since January of 2003.
54 year old Sarah Ann Snipes was last seen walking on the side of Route 58.
Today, a hunter contacted authorities after finding a pocketbook in a wooded area off of Daniel Road near Axton.
Deputies then found the skeletal remains a short distance away.
Authorities will now try to make a positive ID, and determine how the woman died.

"There will be no change of names in this retail marriage. The
store-front signs stay the same, along with the signature brands and
specialty lines. But they may do some crossing-over. Martha Stewart
merchandise is already selling in Sears stores in Canada."
Both retailers have struggled in recent years.. but K-mart is starting
to bounce back... posting its first profit in three years last march,
after selling off some 6-hundred stores, and cutting its workforce by
57-thousand.
Longtime mall anchor store and catalogue king Sears has tried boosting
sales by adding groceries and other items to its shelves.
The company heads hope the merger will give both retailers more buying
power... and a better competitive edge in pricing. Retail analysts say
there's another benefit: a holiday shopping buzz.
FAITH HOPE CONSOLO/RETAIL ANALYST
"it just re-focuses consumers back to sears and makes it a mor exciting
brand and this happening just a few weeks before christmas is great news
for retail."
And great news for shoppers... say analysts... with a new merchandise
mix, better stores... and more promotions to get them in the door.
