Henry County authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains this morning. Around 10-thirty, a hunter found a pocketbook in a wooded area off Daniel Road near Axton. Deputies later found skeletal remains a short distance away. Items in the pocketbook lead investigators to believe the remains are those of 54 year old Sarah Ann Snipes. She was last seen in January of last year. The Sheriff's Office is trying to figure out how she died.

15 year old Nakisha Waddell and 16 year old Annie Belcher are charged with first degree murder in the death of Waddell's mother, Vaughne Thomas. Thomas was found stabbed to death and buried in the backyard of her Max Meadows home on Memorial Day. At a motions hearing the judge ruled Waddell and Belcher will be tried together, before a jury in mid-December.

A 16-year-old student was taken to the hospital after an evening bus accident in Botetourt County. According to State Police - a school bus was rear-ended by a pick-up truck on route 220 Alternate.

Only three students were onboard at the time of the accident. The driver of the pick up, 48-year-old Robert Peters of Roanoke, was charged with following too closely.
