Danville police say an Amber Alert is still in effect for missing two year old, A'Mario Stevens. His parents have been charged with his abduction.

Police don't know where Childress is ... he's reportedly denied having the child with him.
Stevens has been hospitalized for undisclosed medical reasons.

Police say several fire crews are working a house fire in Giles County. Dispatchers got the call for a blaze on Spruce Run road in Newport a few minutes ago. No one is believed to have been in the house, and there are no injuries at this time.

Henry County authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains yesterday morning. Around 10-thirty, a hunter found a pocketbook in a wooded area off Daniel Road near Axton. Deputies later found skeletal remains a short distance away. Items in the pocketbook lead investigators to believe the remains are those of 54 year old Sarah Ann Snipes. She was last seen in January of last year. The Sheriff's Office is trying to figure out how she died.

State legislators have to use restraint when it comes to Virginia's budget this year, despite an improving economy.
