She met Demarkus when he joined the Marines more than a year ago.
They stayed in touch even after he left for Iraq back in June.

Two people are injured following an accident on Interstate 81 earlier this evening.

It happened near mile marker 183 in Rockbridge County.
State police say a car passed and then cut-off a tractor trailer. The truck then hit the car and both went into the median.
The car flipped three times.
Both drivers were taken to Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending against the driver of the car-- a 16 year old girl from Buchanan. One northbound lane could be closed for several more hours for cleanup.

Officers realized he was missing about 2:30 this afternoon.
Authorities found Hite's prison clothes nearby, but so far have not found him.

Concerns about the structure delayed the renovations, but the work is now almost complete.

That's the word from a company officials at CP Films. A tornado ripped through the area in September tearing off the roof, overturning cars and destroying buildings. But, two-months after the tornado, the roof is back on and interior repairs are almost finished.
