:00 Baseball's offseason moving and
shaking is in full swing. The
Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White
Sox have reached a preliminary
agreement on a deal sending oft-injured
first baseman Jim Thome and cash to the
World Series champions for center
fielder Aaron Rowand. The deal is
contingent upon both players passing
physicals. If it goes thru it could
make Billy Wagner's decision on whether
or not to stay in Philly, a little
easier.

Jackals vs. Vipers The long time tradition of Turkey :00 Bowling returned to the hard water at
the Civic Center tonight.

The Jackals jumped on top late
in the first period. John Jarram feeds
the puck to Carl Drakensjo for the
first tally of the night.

Elmira took a 2-nothing lead on
a short handed goal. Craig McDonald
scores unassisted for the visitors.

But the Vipers finally got on

period. Off the faceoff, L-P Martin
flips it out to Branislav Kvetan for
the goal. *CG final Elmira The Vipers had to go to a shootout, 2 but they get the win 3 to 2.
