Crews are working on an underground expansion in the south lawn which will house and exhibit a learning area. Precautions are also being taken to ensure the building's foundation is not disturbed. The Department of General Services is taking steps to preserve every piece of the capitol. A California woman trapped inside a drainage pipe has been rescued from a Thanksgiving fall she will never forget.

A Malibu fire official says the woman was trapped for about 13 hours. It took rescue workers another hour to pull her out of the pipe, which was 30 inches wide, and about 40 feet deep. She was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Grizzlies coach Hubie Brown made his retirement official today. The 71 year old cited health reasons for the move. Former James Madison coach and longtime NBA'er Mike Fratello is rumored to be the next head Grizzly and could be on the bench as early as Tuesday night when Memphis takes on Sacramento.

We start tonight over in Amherst where the Lancers hosted the Salem Spartans in the Region Three Division 4 Championship.

After a Salem field goal, Amherst took the lead on this 2 yard run by Jonathan Rose 12 seconds into the 2nd quarter and the Lancers were up 7-3.
