Federal prosecutors insist marijuana is addictive, and legalizing any private use would give drug traders an easy loophole. The Justice Department argues that even if the drug is grown at a private home for medical purposes, it still falls in their jurisdiction. Others in the case say they just want to help sick patients who are in pain.

At the Meadowlands, the Eagles wrapped up their 4th straight NFC title by making Eli Manning look like a rookie. Quinton Mikell intercepted Manning in the end zone in the second quarter with Philly up 7-6.
Brian Westbrook scored two touchdowns for the Eagles including this 34 yard TD reception thanks to some pretty solid blocking. The Eagles routed the Giants 27 to 6.

The Bengals and the Browns combined for 106 points today in Cincinnati. Carson Palmer tossed 4 TD passes as the Bengals took out the Browns 58 to 48, fueling speculation that Butch Davis is on his way out of Cleveland.

The Hokies have now won 7 straight games including yesterday's come from victory over UVa. The planned pregnancy was part of the zoo's Species Survival Plan that ensures diversity and demographic stability of their animals.
