Livingston "Bud" Pritchett says he wants attorneys who trust him and believe him. The 40 year old was sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder in the shooting death of Estel Singleton Senior at an Ironto rest stop. He rejected a plea agreement that would have given him 40 years in prison. He says the fact his lawyers insisted he plea bargain proves they don't think he is innocent. The mildly retarded Prithcett confessed to police. The Virginia Supreme Court granted him a new trial that was meant to start on Wednesday because experts on mental retardation weren't allowed to testify the first time.

Authorities insist they have not arrested anyone in connection with the case. But there have been reports that state police there were testing a man's D-N-A to see if he's connected to the eight so-called ``B-T-K'' killings. B-T-K refers to the words ``bind, torture and kill,'' which the killer described as his method. The killings happened between 1974 and '86. After years of silence, the killer sent several messages this year.
