President Bush is expected to announce his nominee for Homeland Security Secretary - reportedly he wants to name former NYC Police Chief Bernard Kerik.
Bernard Kerik worked with the President during the aftermath of 9-11 and now he wants the former police chief to guard the country against any future terrorist attacks.
49-year-old Kerik is an army veteran who built a career as a lawman and became New York's top cop after a starting on the Times Square beat.

A man convicted of murder has fired his attorneys just days away from his second trial.
Livingston "Bud" Pritchett says he wants attorneys who trust him and believe him.
The 40 year old was sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder in the shooting death of Estel Singleton Senior at an Ironto rest stop.
He rejected a plea agreement that would have given him 40 years in prison.
He says the fact his lawyers insisted he plea bargain proves they don't think he is innocent.
The mildly retarded Prithcett confessed to police.
The Virginia Supreme Court granted him a new trial that was meant to start on Wednesday because experts on mental retardation weren't allowed to testify the first time.
Testimony continues today in a California courtroom as the penalty phase of Scott Peterson's murder trial continues.

Yesterday a high school friend of Peterson's testified how giving he was and how the two had done mission trips to a Mexican orphanage - just one of the many things Scott Peterson had done for others.
Several more witnesses are expected through next week - the last will be Scott's own mother.
Then the jury will have to decided whether Peterson will be sentenced to life in prison or executed, for killing his pregnant wife.

Police in Kansas may be closing in on a serial killer whose crimes date back to the mid 70's.
Authorities insist they have not arrested anyone in connection with the case.
But there have been reports that state police there were testing a man's D-N-A to see if he's connected to the eight so-called ``B-T-K'' killings.
B-T-K refers to the words ``bind, torture and kill,'' which the killer described as his method.
The killings happened between 1974 and '86.
After years of silence, the killer sent several messages this year.
Investigators are working to identify human remains that were discovered in Roanoke County.
The skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the intersection of Hershberger and Plantation roads.
A man walking the property line made the discovery, and called police around 10 a-m yesterday.
Police believe the remains had been in the woods for at least six months. There were no obvious signs of foul play, but the remains were taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for further analysis.
A local plastic surgeon stands behind the safety of botox injections in light of the recent illnesses in Florida.
That's where health officials are investigating four possible cases of botulism poisoning.

Botox is made from the same bacterium that causes food poisoning.
Breiner says it's given in such small doses, that it's unlikely it would cause botulism poisoning.
