Pritchett says he wants attorneys who trust him and believe him.
The 40 year old man was sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder in the shooting death of Estel Singleton Senior at an Ironto rest stop. He rejected a plea agreement that would have given him 40 years in prison. He says the fact his lawyers insisted he plea bargain proves they don't think he is innocent. The mildly retarded Pritchett confessed to police. The Virginia Supreme Court granted him a new trial that was meant to start on Wednesday because experts on mental retardation weren't allowed to testify the first time.

Ukraine's Supreme Court is canceling the results of the presidential runoff election.
(------------)
[VO-NAT]
[SUPER=03-Kiev, Ukraine]

The court says a re-vote must be held, and that it should take place within a month. The ruling came in response to an appeal from opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko (yoo-SHEN'-koh). He asked the results be canceled -- saying they'd been rigged in favor of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych (yah-noo-KOH'-vich). Yushchenko had been calling for a new runoff vote. He's resisted the suggestion from Ukraine's president that there be a completely new election, not just a runoff.
