Federal investigators allege Fire Safety Products "dry-stamped" hundreds of such cylinders without performing the proper hydrostatic tests. Ken Dunker at Diving Enterprises says tanks must be re-tested every five years to check for metal fatigue. He says there IS a safety valve, though.
