The shooting -- in front of the James Crossing Apartment Complex on Longveiw Road -- happened early this morning.

Officials say 45-year-old Clayton Calvin Martin Junior shot 25 year-old Jamishia Lanise Jackson around 12:30 this morning. Officers say Jackson was sitting in a vehicle when she was killed. Police are still looking for Clayton Martin, who fled on foot after the shooting. Friends of Jackson's say she and Martin were involved in a relationship. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Lynchburg Police.

25-year-old Melinda Denise Bond was last seen the day before Thanksgiving.

Bond dropped her daughter off at her mother's house in Salem on her way to work at Bojangles. But, Bond never showed up at work or later that night. Debbie Jensen says her daughter had received some disturbing phone calls at work, and the day she disappeared she contacted her ex-husband in California, asking for help.

Day two of the NFL's wildcard weekend is in full swing. In the NFC, the Vikings lead the Packers ___ to ___ in the ___ quarter. Earlier this afternoon in the AFC game, the Denver Broncos tried to win their first playoff game since the retirement of John Elway, against Peyton Manning and the Colts in Indy.

Manning wasted no time in getting the Colts on the board. This 2 yard TD toss to James Mungro was only the beginning for Indianapolis.
Later in the half, Manning connected with Reggie Wayne on a 35 yard scoring strike. Wayne caught ten passes for 221 yards and two scores on the day, as the Colts took a 35 to 3 edge to the locker room.
Denver tried to make a game of it, by scoring three second half touchdowns, but Manning and company simply overwhelmed the Broncos
