A new regional jail has been narrowed down to two-possibilities: Higginbotham Farms on West River Road or land at the Center for Research and Technology.
Both are in the Dixie Cavern region of the county.
The Citizens Advisory Committee says the CRT site is an ideal site because the utilities are already there and the county already owns it.
But, there could be problems- CRT's convenants won't allow the county to build a jail at that site.
The County says they need to stick to it.
