A three judge panel is upholding the outcome of Bedford County's school board race.

Keith Jones defeated Laura Rodes by a single vote in the District Five race last November.
Rodes challenged the outcome based on a single provisional ballot from Bedford County resident Aimee Peters.

A murder suspect in Lynchburg turns himself in a day after police said they were looking for him.

Police charged 45-year old Clayton Calvin Martin Junior with the murder of 25 year old Jamishia Lanise Jackson-

Jackson was shot around 12:30 Sunday morning while sitting in a vehicle across from the James Crossing Apartment Complex.
Martin is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

A murder suspect in Radford is expected to make a plea bargain with prosecutors later this morning.

The trial of 21 year old Roy Omar Hodge was to begin next week.

He's charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 25 year old Brian Keith Gray.
Gray was shot and killed in his Radford apartment last May, in what police are calling a home-invasion drug robbery.
Police believe Hodge did not pull the trigger, but was an accomplice in the killing.

61 year old Earnest Thomas Mitchell was last spotted at the Hairston Home for Adults in Martinsville on December Fourth.
Over the past weeks, police and Old Dominion Search and Rescue have searched several areas on foot, with dogs and from the air.

Police in Martinsville say they need help from the public finding an arsonist who's already set two fires on the same street.
Investigators believe someone is responsible for two fires on Wingfield Street, the first on November 17 and the second Sunday night.
