Candice is one of millions
nationwide who receive a pell grant
which generally go to low income

students.

She will soon see a reduction
because of a formula change used to
calculate federal financial aid.

the thousands.

We checked with several area schools
and found the numbers vary.

While most agree the change won't
prompt many students to drop out, it
will force families to dig deeper to
pay for college.

thousand dollars.

The government points out the ones
who need the grant the most will see no

the run for nearly two-months.

25-year-old Melinda Bond was
picked up in the Las Vegas airport
Saturday after officers noticed she had
been sleeping there for several days.

missing.

Bond faces felony embezzlement
charges.

She has to decide whether to waive

Saturday Authorities are still looking for a man
they say jumped into the Smith River.

It happened Friday night, when a state
trooper tried to pull over an 80s model
blue Camaro on the Fairy Stone Park
Highway in Henry County.

Police say the driver jumped out and
ran into the river. While the trooper
was chasing HIM, the PASSENGER drove
off.

Investigators are now trying to
identify the license plates through
video taken from the trooper's vehicle.
