its brand new driver development plan
today.

The first year program has
selected five drivers that it will
develop this upcoming season.
148 drivers applied for the
program and five were selected based on
a wide range of skills.

The drivers must devote one day a
week to the car and the program.
They will be required to make
public appearances and malls and
schools, and drivers must provide their
own crews, as well.
The five drivers will be
competing in the Late Model, Limited
Sportsman, Late Model Truck and
Mini-Stock divisions.

ENG#=3 is apparently set to retire from the
NFL.

A Minnesota newspaper is
reporting that Smith is part of a group
that is trying to buy the Vikings.
Smith, who played on three Super bowl
champions during his record-breaking
time with the has been a free agent
since his two-year deal with expired in
December. He also holds the record for
most games played by a running back at
226. He's now 35 years old.

...a total of 1,576 steps to the
Observatory deck on the
86th floor.
Rudolf Reitberger of Austria won
the men's division with a time of 10
minutes and 24 seconds, while women's
Andrea Mayr, also from Austria,
finished first with a record time of 11
minutes and 51 seconds.
This is the first time in the history
of the ESB Run-Up that a woman has made
it in under 12 minutes.
Paul Crake holds the Men's Record with
9 minutes and 33 seconds from 2003.
