SNOW... THAT'S WHAT WE WOULD PREFER.
And that is primarily what they
got around the Roanoke Valley.
Primary roads like interstate 81
and 581 look to be more wet than
anything, however VDOT says there are
still some slick spots out there so
drivers should use caution when out
travelling today.
V-DOT's plan is to keep on top of
the primary roads until the
precipitation stops, then concentrate
on getting the secondary roads cleared.
The system didn't lay down much
through the Roanoke Valley but it was
enough to close down schools and allow
for some snowball fights and sledding.
And with a snow or ice storm

IS IT POSSIBLE?
IS IT JUST POSSIBLE THAT WE MAY BE
LOOKING AT THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF THE

STATE OF TEXAS.
You know Texas elected a country singer
to governor in 1940. So it's not
unprecendented that this could happen.
YOU CAN'T GET MUCH MORE POLITICALLY
INCORRECT THAN KINKY FRIEDMAN.
HE'S BEEN THAT WAY EVER SINCE HE
PIONEERED THE JEWISH COUNTRY MUSIC
GENRE WITH
HIS BAND, KINKY FRIEDMAN AND THE TEXAS
JEWBOYS.
I'm a bastard child of two
cultures....Texas and Jewish and the
only thing we
have in common is we both like to wear

IT BLENDED KINKYS GIFT FOR SATIRE WITH
A GENUINE LOVE OF COUNTRY MUSIC.
WITH SONGS LIKE "THEY AIN'T MAKIN JEWS

KINKY HAD A CULT FOLLOWING BUT NEVER
REALLY HIT IT BIG.
SO IN THE MID EIGHTIES, HE TURNED TO
SOMETHING ELSE....WRITING MYSTERY

WITH HIMSELF, THE KINGSTER

And now I think there's 18 novels that
I churned out....I mean carefully
crafted.
A TALENTED WRITER, HE COUNTS BOTH BILL
CLINTON AND (the first president?)
GEORGE BUSH AMONG HIS FANS.
BOTH HAVE HAD HIM AS A GUEST AT THE
WHITE HOUSE.
MAYBE THAT'S WHAT GAVE HIM A TASTE FOR
POLITICS.
People are fed up with career
politicians lying to them and also, if
Willy and
Lance Armstrong stay out of the race,
you're talking to the next Governor of
Texas.
THE ELECTION IS NOT UNTIL 2006, BUT
KINKY IS WASTING NO TIME.
