Childress Vineyards, the latest pet
project of the man who has nine Nascar
championships. The largest winery in
the Tarheel State officially opened for
business back in November, and employs
about 35 people. Covering some 90
acres, it comes complete with a bistro
and banquet facilities--quite a
contrast to the roar of the racetrack.

JEFF BURTON/CHILDRESS RACING DRIVER:
Now that he has successfully mixed
lugnuts and sway bars with chardonnay
and cabernet, Childress isn't quite
sure what his one time employee, the
late Dale Earnhardt would say about his
new hobby.
RICHARD:
TRAVIS: Plans are in the works to
build a hotel on site. Ground is
expected to be broken sometime this
spring with a completion date of next
December. In Lexington, North
Carolina, Travis Wells, News 7 Sports.

Russell Royal says he will use the
money to help his three grandsons, and
he will continue giving to his church.
The winning moment was taped before the
Super Bowl, which meant Royal had to
keep his big moment quiet until it
aired.
