Police say 32-year-old Tommy Joseph
Chapman left his Salem home between
10:30 and eleven this morning, with
12-week-old Tommy Chapman the Second.
Officers say Chapman was living in the
same house with the infant, and may be
headed to Shelby, North Carolina, where
he grew up.

Police say Chapman was driving a
1991-Silver Oldsmobile, with Virginia
license plates J-S-J-5-1-9-3.
The baby is described as white, with
brown hair and blue eyes, and has two
skin tabs on his right ear.

a green shirt.

morning.
Her family says she *should* be after
her harrowing ordeal.
Bond's parents say, "Mindy" as she's
known to her family, was kidnapped by a
man and taken to Mexico- a claim they
say the Vinton PD isn't taking
seriously.

Jenson sat down with News7's Myranda
Stephens. She said at that point Bond
had been in contact with her ex-husband
in California.

But, Detective Doyle says it hard to
help someone who doesn't help herself.
He points to the multiple opportunities
Bond has had to tell her story to
authorities.
In the Las Vegas arrest report obtained
by News 7, the officer state when Bond
was approached sleeping at the McCarron
International Airport she said she was
on vacation visiting friends- and it
hadn't worked out.
She later told the officer she had left
Virginia the day before Thanksgiving
and headed toward Mexico, leaving her
truck at a small airport just outside
the Texas border.
Bond said she took a plane to Mexico
City, then two-days later flew to
Cancun. According to the report, she
stayed at a hotel the first week making
friends with a local bar employee and
stayed with him and his family after
that...
According to this report, she
befriended another man who lived in Las
Vegas -several weeks later he offered
to buy her plane ticket and put her

The 74-year old Shanley was
sentenced in Cambridge, Massachusetts
today, for repeatedly molesting a boy
at his church during the 1980s.
A prosecutor had asked for a life
sentence while Shanley's attorney
responded that the prosecution's case
had been built on "half-truths and
lies."
Shanley will be eligible for
parole after serving two-thirds of his
sentence.
A statement from his now 27-year
old victim read that he wants Shanley
to "die in prison" -- and that the
death should be "slow and painful."

and neglect of an incapicated adult, 65
year old Esther Crigger.
When police found her body her
respirator was unplugged and family
dogs had partially eaten her left arm.
Today a judge ruled the men were
mentally unfit for trial.
Prosecutors have dismissed the case for
now, but the men could be charged
again.

An early birthday gift for 9 year old
David Dingman-Grover...

...who battled to wipe out a monstrous
brain tumor he named Frank, short
for Frankenstein.

"Officially, we'd like to say as a
family, Frank is dead!")
David was diagnosed with the
grapefruit-sized tumor a year ago. His
parents went on Ebay to raise money for
surgery, an expensive
producedure that would have removed the
front of his skull and possibly
caused even more damage and weeks of
recovery.
Instead, doctors at Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center in Los Angeles used
radiation to shrink the tumor to the
size of a walnut, then removed the
rest by going in through his right
nostril, leaving no scars.
David was up and about just days later
and today, two weeks after that
biopsy, his surgeon made the
announcement david and his family had
been
waiting to hear for almost a year:

active cancer cells.")
With his 10th birthday just around the
corner... David still faces some
obstacles.

And because of that, David will be
monitored for years to come. First

appears to be too little too late.

still scheduled to hold a
newsconference tomorrow to announce the
cancellation of the entire season.
If this happens, thte NHL will
have the dubious honor of being the
first North American pro league to
cancel its entire season due to a labor

The players actually agreed to a
salary cap but the figure they wanted
was $52 million a team, the owners
wanted a $40 million dollar figure.

band in Los Angeles.
