River Ridge Semi-Finals The opener had the regular season :00 champs from Pulaski taking on Salem.

The Cougars' Andrew Hart creates
some space with the fake and then
drives hard to the hoop for the bucket.

Most folks thought Salem was a
shor-in to get back to the state final
four, but even throwdowns like this two
handed jam from Kenny Belton couldn't
get it done.
*CG final Pulaski Co.
77 The other big man Ernie Hodge Salem would show his skills with a sweet spin 54 move. Pulaski ends Salem's season with River Ridge Semi-Finals an easy 77 to 54 win.

*CG file Titans vs. Knights
:00 The second game was a South
County showdown as the Titans took on
Cave Spring.

The Knights lost to Hidden Valley
twice in the regular but tonight they
kept it close the whole way as David
Redick gets the putback.

Hidden Valley's Kevin Lambert
will make the steal and find Daniel
Gills open on the outside for the three
pointer.
*CG final Cave Spring
53 But Cave Spring would not go away Hidden Valley tonight. Sam Cole gets this one, abd 51 the Knights earn a trip to the River Ridge Semi-Finals regionals with a 53-to-51 upset win.

Seminole District Semi-Finals In the opener tonight, the
:00 Liberty cheerleaders had their work cut
out for them against Heritage.

Terrence Penn makes the inbounds
pass look easy to Wayne Ford, who puts
up the three ball and drops it through
for a triple.

Liberty would try to best to hang
with the taller Pioneer Mike Vasenda
passes to John Coffey, who goes in for
the layin.

But Heritage would get the 20
points win tonight as Delaney Brown
gets the hoop and Heritage the 55 to 35
win.
*CG file Amherst vs. Brookville

The nightcap would feature
Brookville and Amherst County.

Amhert's Chris Cecil drives
inside through traffic and he is able
to convert the bucket for the Lancers.

Ryan Arnold would answer back for
the Bees with the pass to Brad McDaniel
to Kyle Malone for the two pointer down
low.

But Amherst would Andrew Ure
would hit the three and the Lancers
earna spot in the regionals with the 38
to 36 win.

J.D. the Labrador landed his
owner in jail.

Matthew Porter of Richland Hills,
Texas was playing Frisbee golf with
friends Monday when a police officer
arrived and thought he smelled burning
marijuana.

The officer began checking for
outstanding warrants.

J.D., meanwhile, waded into a
nearby creek and returned a short while
later carrying a plastic bag of pot.

The dog delivered the evidence
right to the officer.

Porter was arrested.

But he says he's not mad at his
pet, that the dog looks out for
everybody. (END VO) (END VO)
