last night's robbery at the Crown
Station on Roanoke Street.
It happened just after 8:30.
A witness told police that a white
male had jumped over the counter and
took an undisclosed amount of money
from the register.

Yesterday, the board of
supervisors unamiously picked MBI
Solutions to bill for its fire and EMS
services.
The Ohio based company will get
seven-percent of any bills from
accident or fire calls and 10-percent
from ambulance transports.
The county will start billing
users on July 1st.
Officials say the move will keep
the county's services *volunteer*,
rather than paid which would cost more
in the long run.

boundary dispute after months of heated
debate.

district of the county, has suggested a
compromise that cuts the expansion's
acreage.
Currently, Fincastle is made up
of 151-acres.
Under the town's plan it would

affect their farms and livelihoods.
Meredith says his plan protects
water and viewsheds, and cuts the

Officials say renovations are
going so well in Botetourt County, they
hope to have a new gym at James River
High School by the 2006 basketball
season.
Yesterday, county supervisors
approved 400-thousand dollars to
advance the renovation project.
That money will be used to begin
testing the site and soil.
The project includes plans to
build a new gym, library, science labs
and classrooms.
