GRAPHIC=BAM The newest Oriole, Sammy Sosa, is
ENG#=2 on the shelf for a couple of days after

tweaking his groin during a workout
over the weekend.

Sosa is expected to bring more
than just fans to Camden Yards this
season.

But - his departure from Chicago
is still tough for a lot of folks -
including one of the greatest Cubs ever
- hall of famer Ferguson Jenkins.

GRAPHIC=BAM Last Friday, the city of Roanoke
ENG#=3 and the United Hockey League announced

that they were joining forces in an
attempt to not only bring hockey back

to the star city, but to make it a
successful money maker.

The biggest concern most folks
seem to have with the league is its
geographic make-up which currently
covers a lot of northern and midwestern
real estate stretching from Connecticut
to Richmond to Michigan to Illinois to
Missouri.

We'd like to know if you think a
team in Roanoke can survive in this
enviroment.

The U.S. Mint announced today
that it's newest five cent piece has
been shipped across the country to
begin circulation.

The nickel is the third in a four
part series commemorating America's
journey to the West.

The design is a take off on the
original buffalo nickel from 67 years
ago featuring Thomas Jefferson's image
on one side and an American bison on
the other.

The fourth and final coin is
expected to be unveiled this fall.
