The bullet holes are clearly visible--
the judge and his son--a

lawyer--were gunned down at their home
in Northern Baghdad.

The two were part of the special
tribunal that will try former Iraqi

dictator Saddam Hussein.

A court official said the murders
stemmed from a personal dispute--but

one of the judge's surviving son's
insisted it was either because they

worked for the court or because they
were Kurds.

Just the day before--the tribunal

handed down indictments for five

former members of Saddam's
regime--including the dictator's
half-brother.

These killings come as more deadly
explosions rocked the country.

In Baghdad two car bombs went off
killing at least 10 Iraqi soldiers and

wounding dozens more.

In one attack-- a bomber drove up to an
Iraqi army base where recruits

apply for jobs and detonated the
explosives. Police say insurgents have

targeted the base several times in the
past year.

The other explosion came in a
neighborhood at an army checkpoint.

After both attacks--US and Iraqi troops
sealed off the area.

And in Basra insurgents detonated an
explosive device as a British

Military convoy was driving near it's
base. Three British soldiers and

an Iraqi civilian was injured.
