ENG#=3 unveil an indictment in the morning
relating to the August, 2002 kidnapping
and murder of Jennifer Short and her
parents.
The indictment remains sealed
tonight.

Though it is said to be directly
related to the two-and-a half year old
murder investigation, the U-S Attorney
made it clear in his announcement
tonight that "the murders of Michael,
Mary and Jennifer Short remain
UNsolved...."
Reached by phone this evening US
Attorney John Brownlee reiterated that
point, saying "this is not a charging
document related to the abduction or
killings."
In a separate telephone interview
this evening, Henry County Investigator
Kimmy Nester expressed frustration with
the number of false leads in the case.

VMI has disciplined twelve cadets
depicted in Halloween photographs that
parodied Nazis and stereotyped other
groups.
A committee of cadets investigated the
incident, and recommended punishment
for five upperclassmen.
However, seven freshmen RATS, some
who actually were in the photos, saw no
formal punishment, something the
administration says is justified.

Last night a woman walking to her

truck. Then her purse was taken.
Roanoke Police highlighted this
video. You see the truck veer toward
the woman, hit her and drive off.
Police say the woman was dragged

The driver of the pick-up truck
is described as a white man in his
twenties, driving a gray or light blue
Nissan pick-up with a North Carolina

A security camera caught the

material spill this morning.

Greg Staley suffered first,
second and third degree burns over half
of his body, after a mixer apparently

Kyle is a Galax native and graduate of
two Virginia universities. She's never
been an educator. Spending much of her
time as a lawyer and in business. Many
on campus hope her eleven years in
Richmond will translate into more
recognition and more money for the
university.

Of the three finalist, Kyle was well
liked by the students but was not the
first choice among faculty. So far it
is too early to tell what reaction will
be to her hiring. Kyle remains
confident that the Radford community
will at least give her a chance.
Kyle signed a five year contract

prize...a wedding ceremony and gown.
The women in Slovenia, who are all
planning to get married this year, came
