August 2002 Michael Short, Mary Short and their
:04 daughter Jennifer were murdered in
August of 2002. The parents' bodies
were found in their Henry County home.
Jennifer's remains were found found
several weeks later in Rockingham
County, North Carolina.
Both Henry and Rockingham County
Sheriffs will be present in Roanoke
tomorrow when federal prosecutors
announce indictments related to the
investigation.
For now, the US Attorney's office is
not releasing any further details.

first choice among faculty. So far it
is too early to tell what reaction will

how quickly their son was assessed and
cared for at the scene.
According to records- 911
received the call at 5:43 this morning.
The first ambulance was on the
scene at 5:52, had patient contact at
5:55.
The first fire engine arrived on
the scene five minutes later.
It's that five-minutes the family
says was wasted...

Yesterday evening a woman walking
to her car was hit by a man in a
pick-up truck, and then stripped of her
purse.
Roanoke Police highlighted this
video-- you can see the truck veer
toward the woman, hit her and drive
off.
Police say the woman was dragged
several feet but did not suffer any
serious injuries.
The driver of the pick-up truck
is described as a white male in his
twenties, driving a gray or light blue
Nissan pick-up with a North Carolina
license plate, PTF-6612.
