ENG#=None accident that killed two men in
Campbell County.
It happened on highway 24 just
outside of Rustburg.
Police say the driver crossed the
center line and crashed into a
van...killing him and the passenger.
Rescue crews took the driver of
the van to Lynchburg General Hospital.
The cause of the accident is
still under investigation.

(END SOT) For yet another weekend residents
in Southwest Virginia woke up to this.
The early morning snow quickly
accumulated into an inch or two in some
areas, forcing some SAT sites to cancel
the test.
However, by eleven o'clock
Roanoke had dried out, and the students
taking the newly redesigned SAT at
William Fleming High School, were
inside filling in their answers.

GET IT CANCELED BUT I FIGURED THEY
DIDN'T REALLY CANCEL THIS TYPE OF
THING.
After more than four hours of
testing, students began to trickle out
of the classrooms.
Some students taking the test for
the second time say the new SAT's were
considerably different from what they
have seen in the past.

HARDER. IT TOOK A WHOLE LOT LONGER
TIME. THE READING COMPREHENSION WAS
HARD. I KIND OF LIKED THE ANALOGIES
FROM LAST TIME AND THEY GOT TAKEN OUT.
The new test replaces the analogy
section with an essay section.
Essays are scored from one to
six.
A score of one is fundamentally
lacking, while a six demonstrates clear
and consistent mastery.
Students just hope they gave the
SAT board what they're looking for.

this morning.

State police say the driver lost
control of his truck...hit an
embankment and then flipped over.
The driver did NOT have any
life-threatening injuries.
Troopers closed both lanes of 220
for about four hours and re-routed
traffic on the southbound lane.
The driver will be charged with
losing control of the truck and NOT
wearing a seatbelt.

State University junior who died Friday
with a blood-alcohol level of

That's nearly SIX times the legal
driving limit.
Authorities found several liquor

celebrated his 22nd *birthday* Monday
night.
Berry is the second New Mexico State
student to die from binge drinking this

Reverend Joseph Lowery of the Southern

Two voting rights marches took place in
1965.
Troopers and deputies attacked marchers

tonight.
