across what would turn out to be a life

:06 ROBERT THOMAS:WHEN WE COME THROUGH
LAST NIGHT I REALIZED THAT THAT WASN'T
RIGHT THERE WAS SOMETHING LAYING THERE,
AND IT LOOKED LIKE SOMEBODY, AND I TOLD
MY WIFE WE HAVE TO TURN AROUND AND GO
BACK.
This was the scene last night at
the back entrance to the Fairview

When the Thomas pulled thier
vehicle off to take a second look into
what they thought was a burning bush,
they found a man on fire.
:08 ROBERT THOMAS:BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO
LEAVE HIM BACK THERE WHERE IT WAS
CHARRING AND BURNING SO WE JUST PULLED
HIM OUT TO RIGHT HERE AND LEFT HIM,
UNTIL THE EMS AND THE POLICE COULD GET

The couple used an old blanket
from their truck and put the burning
man out.
They say the man had severe burns
down his arms, and on his face.
:06 ROBERT THOMAS:HE WAS IN BAD SHAPE,
HE WAS IN REAL BAD SHAPE. .
As Katie and Robert described
their story, the unexpected happened.
Three women, searching for a

were looking for.
