Beckley, West Virginia at a toll both
has resulted in a shooting involving a
police officer and ended in Alleghany
County.

Details are sketchy at this time,
but officials tell News 7 that the
incident started just after 3 and
resulted in the pursuit of a rig-free
tractor trailer.

Officials are also reporting a
tractor trailer accident on Interstate
64 near Low Moor that has closed the
left lanes in both directions

The case is currently under
investigation.

The nine-year-old has been missing
since February 23rd. But now a
registered sex offender has admitted to
killing the girl. He's also told
authorities where her body can be
found.

Two houses were simultaneously
raided in Clifton Forge.

In those raids the task force
arrested Phillip Wayne Godfrey and
Amanda N. Wright and charged them both
with possession and intent to
distribute crack cocaine.

The firearms were seized in a
raid in Botetourt County.

James E. Bierman was charged with
possession of firearms by a convicted
felon.

Muterspaugh (MUTE-ur-spa) says
this was a big step forward in their
fight against drugs, but ensures that

the task force isn't done yet.

scheduled renovation of the Rivermont
Bridge.

Passalacqua (pass-uh-LAH-kwuh) jumped
off the bridge Thursday afternoon but
survived the 150-foot fall after

hitting some trees and branches on the
way down.

He's in critical condition at a

The bridge has been the site of
numerous suicide attempts over the
years, and residents say something

Lyle Miller was at the stadium
retreiving barbells and other equipment
this week.

He can no longer hold classes at

the stadium's boxing gym- because
Victory Stadium was shut down last
week-

Engineers found the structure's
brick facade unsafe.

While Miller did get some
equipment, that too was brought to a
halt. He was told he'd have to go back
next week to get the rest.

stadium flooded- Miller said he lost
nearly 7-thousand dollars in equipment
and personal belongings.

tractor trailer accident on Interstate

private parties seems to have hit a
road block.

Last month the General Assembly passed
legislation that was intended to keep
liquor out of the hands of those under
21 at private parties. But the Senate
added an amendment to the bill that its
supporters believe reverses the purpose
of the bill. They are now appealing to
Governor Mark Warner to fix the
problem. The Senate's amendment
basically keeps the existing law in
place. The law now allows people who
hold parties in their own homes to
serve alcohol to anyone regardless of
their age.
