attempted rape over the weekend.

Lynchburg police are looking for
33 year old James Wilson Hamlette
Junior in reference to an attempted
rape on Wiggington Road Sunday morning.

Hamlette lives in the same
apartment complex as the victim.

He's wanted for breaking and
entering, abduction, and attempted
rape.

Police say Hamlette broke into an
aparmtent neighboring the victim's,
gained access to a crawl space above
the apartments, cut a hole in the
victim's kitchen ceiling, and lowered
himself down before the attempted rape.

party in Roanoke County Saturday night,
when several fights broke out.

fractured elbow when an officer trying
to control the crowd accidentally hit
her with his batton.

injured.

Neither needed medical treatment.

Charges are pending against three
people -- two juveniles and one adult.

Some parents of the kids at the
party have organized a community
meeting for this Wednesday night, to
discuss the incident.

Over at Mill Mountain Zoo, they
recently laid off seven people and
closed the zoo choo as well as the food
stand.

Roanoke Valley.

project say it'll transform the
downtown Roanoke skyline and the city's

The building is meant to capture

Hopes are that the building will
attract new businesses.

The museum will go up behind
Billy's Ritz- Groundbreaking is set

she was three months pregnant.
