least 10 people are dead, and 14
wounded after a high school student
went on a shooting rampage on a
Minnesota Indian reservation.
News organizations in Minnesota
identify the shooter as Jeff Weise
(WEES), a 15 to 17 year old, described
as a loner who always wore black.

Minnesota, just a short distance from
the Canadian border.
The FBI says the student first killed
his grandparents, then walked into his
high school and killed several others.
Witnesses say the gunman "grinned and
waved" as he opened fire on his
classmates -- the children pleading for
the attack to stop.

It's home to the Red Lake Chippewa

away by car.

The attacks stunned this small
community of about 5 thousand people.

Police say most of the dead were found
in one room of the school...
With witnesses saying the shooter tried
to break down a door in an attempt to

though many believe the issue will be
appealed to the next federal level
regardless of the court's ruling.

involved a large sail boat and a group
of students. All of who are safe this
morning.

About 20 people, many of them

boat and swim to rescuers on personal

Police chased Mills into
Alleghany County early Saturday morning
after his stolen truck blew through a

Covington. As police approached, the
truck lurched at them and deputies
opened fire.

It happened on an Indian
reservation in Red Lake, Minnesota,
yesterday. News outlets there identify
the shooter as Jeff Weise (WEES),
attributing the information to students
and tribal leaders.

GRACO TODDLER BEDS. THERE HAVE BEEN 77
REPORTS OF ENTRAPMENTS RESULTING IN 13
BROKEN ARMS AND LEGS, ONE BROKEN FOOT,
A SPRAINED ANKLE AND 54 OTHER INJURIES.

There is a fix being offered by the
company. There is some netting that
goes over the bed rail on the side so
the child can not get the limb caught
in the slats.

THROUGH MARCH OF 2001. DURING THAT SAME
GENERAL PERIOD - THE MANUFACTURER
FAILED TO REPORT OTHER PRODUCTS IT KNEW

THEM.

million dollars and is being assessed
against Graco for the failure to report
substantial product hazards over the
course of about the last decade.

University of Illinois in Chicago are
making some controversial claims about
U.S. life expectancy rates. The
scientists report that the stable trend
of living longer will reverse
dramatically in coming years because of
adult and childhood obesity. The study,
published in the New England Journal of
Medicine says that if trends continue,
within 50 years obesity will have more
of an impact on American lives than
cancer or heart disease.
Doctors sometimes refer to losing your
train of thought or temporary confusion
as "Memory Blanks" and others just call
them Senior Moments after people reach
a certain age. Now experts at the
University of Miami say these episodes
could be warning signs of epilepsy in
older adults. Memory lapse is often a
side effect of aging, but if these
conditions last for extended periods or
if disorientation is a problem, it
could be a sign of something serious
and should be checked out.
And finally...There is good news for
women being treated with radiation for
breast cancer. Improvements in
radiation therapy have decreased the
risk of a potentially lethal side
affect: deadly heart damage. Research
now shows that improved accuracy in
delivering radiation to target areas is
all but eliminating the risk of
negatively affecting the heart.

The FBI says the student first killed
his grandparents, then walked into his
high school and killed several others.
Witnesses say the gunman "grinned and
waved" as he opened fire on his

facility, after a brutal assault left
him with permanent brain damage.

They feel a kinship with Terri Schiavo
and her parents, and support the
efforts to prolong her life.

As Terri Schiavo's fate fell to a
federal judge, Ricky Morgan's feeding
tube came loose and he was taken to the
hospital where it was reinserted.

At least 10 people are dead, and 14
wounded after a high school student
went on a shooting rampage on a
Minnesota Indian reservation.
The shooter is identified as Jeff
Weise (WEES), a 15 to 17 year old,
described as a loner who always wore
black.

ENG#=4 difficult off the coast of Oxnard,
California, last night. It involved a
large sail boat and a group of
students. All of who are safe this
morning.

A sailing ship, the Irving Johnson,
ran aground Monday afternoon.
About 20 people, many of them
students, were forced to jump off the
boat and swim to rescuers on personal
watercraft.

twin sister.

It happened inside this trailer in
the Oak Creek Mobile home park on
Halifax Road around midnight Monday.
Authorities say 28-year-old Larry
Ray Nielson got into an argument with
his sister ... Tabitha Nielson
Bonaparte ... and stabbed her several
times in the chest, back, stomach and
arms.
Nielson's girlfriend says she was
shocked by his arrest.
